# PayPal

PayPal is one of the most recognized online payment solutions worldwide, allowing merchants to accept payments securely using customers’ PayPal accounts or linked payment methods. It supports both one-off transactions and recurring payments, offering a smooth and trusted checkout experience for users across the globe.

In Frisbii, merchants can enable PayPal under **Configuration → Checkout Management → Payment Methods** by adding a **PayPal agreement**.

## Setting up PayPal in Frisbii

The process is simple and consists of a few steps:

1. In Frisbii Admin, open **Configuration → Checkout Management → Payment Methods**.
2. Choose whether to use an existing PayPal agreement or let Frisbii help you get one.
3. If you already have an agreement, select **Use an existing agreement**.
4. Toggle **Authorize PayPal to make payments on behalf of my company** on, then click **Continue**.
5. Sign in to PayPal to complete the authorization.
6. Return to Frisbii where your PayPal agreement will be enabled and configured.

### Step 1: Go to the configuration area

In Frisbii, navigate to **Configuration → Checkout Management → Payment Methods**.

Scroll to the **PayPal** section. You will see two options:

- **Use an existing agreement**
- **I would like to hear more** if you want help getting a PayPal agreement

Choose the option that fits your situation.

### Step 2: Use an existing agreement

If you already have a PayPal agreement, click **Use an existing agreement**.

On the next screen:

1. Turn on **I authorize PayPal to make payments on behalf of my company**.
2. (Optional) Confirm the **PayPal checkout flow**. The default is **SDK**.
3. Click **Continue**.

You will be redirected to PayPal to sign in and confirm the authorization. After successful sign-in, you will return to Frisbii and your PayPal agreement will be enabled and configured.

If you intend to process recurring transactions, make sure that **Vaulting** is enabled in your PayPal account. Vaulting allows Frisbii to securely store customer payment methods for subscriptions and other recurring payments.

> ⚠️ **Important:** Vaulting is not enabled by default. You must contact **PayPal Support** to request that vaulting be activated on your account before recurring payments will work.

Your PayPal agreement is now active in Frisbii. You can accept PayPal payments right away. For subscriptions or other recurring charges, verify that vaulting is enabled by PayPal Support to ensure a smooth payment experience.
