Linda's former colleague D'Angelo has been working for a while for Dream House, a real estate company that has recently marketed new services to its clients, such as house cleaning, garden maintenance or laundry. The prices of these services are re-evaluated every year, which has created new billing needs at Dream House.

Let's find out together how D'Angelo will take this new feature into account in Frisbii.

Let's start with a little introduction in the Index object available in your Frisbii application.

What is an index?

Indexes allow the prices of products or services sold under a subscription to be revalued. This index revision applies when the subscription is renewed (on the anniversary date).

Syntec® Index
The Syntec index is used to measure changes in the cost of labour, mainly of an intellectual nature, for services provided. It is used in the professional branches represented by the Syntec federation (IT, studies and consultancy, engineering, etc.).

Rent Reference Index

If the rental contract includes a rent review, then the landlord can increase the rent on the date set out in the contract (or by default on the anniversary of the signing of the lease). This increase is regulated by the french statistics institute INSEE, which publishes the increase in the rent reference index.

Let us now focus on the Index object and its relationship with the other objects.

Relationship with other Frisbii objects

Here is the data model to give you an overview of the links between the Index object and the other Frisbii objects.

The indexes and their index values are defined from their dedicated objects.

Then you can apply them in the subscriptions. Following the generation of the billing schedule, the indexes and their values are included on the invoices and invoice line items.
When the subscription is renewed, the indices are also included on the change order object.
