Invoice templates from Winter '25

Prev Next

Since Summer '21, you have had a choice of six PDF invoice templates. Starting with Winter '25, Frisbii has decided to keep only two PDF invoice templates, in accordance with French legislation.

To learn more about setting up these templates, read Setting up packaged PDF templates.

Before going into detail about these templates, which look different but whose Visualforce pages contain the same information, we would like to introduce them to you:

Perhaps you have already made your choice based solely on appearance.

Now let's take a closer look at the specific features of these models.

Mandatory fields under French regulations

Most of the new features in these templates relate to standard-compliant information and displays.

We will go through the PDFs from top to bottom to show you all of these additions.

Stamps

In order to clarify the nature of the invoice to the recipient, stamps have been added for Draft, Proforma, and Duplicate invoices.

In addition to the stamp, a mandatory statement indicates that this is a provisional document for draft and pro forma invoices.

Timestamp

The date and time the invoice PDF was created is also displayed.

Delivery address

If a delivery address is entered in the account, it is displayed next to the billing address.

The customer's city, RCS letter, and SIREN number

Starting with the Fall '22 release, you will find the following information

  • City RCS

  • RCS letter

  • SIREN

of the customer on the invoice PDFs in the package. You can fill in these fields on the account or on the accounting data.

Origin of the values displayed on the invoice PDF:

  • Accounting data: If the Accounting data field is filled in on the invoice AND the RCS letter field is filled in on the Accounting data, the three fields are taken from the Accounting data.

  • Account: Where applicable, the information is retrieved from the Account linked to the invoice.

The content is the same for all six templates for France:

RCS (custom label) City RCS (field on the accounting data or account) under no. (custom label) Letter RCS (field on the accounting data or account) SIREN (field on the accounting data or account)

The delivery date

If a delivery date is entered on the invoice, it will also appear on the PDF.

The customer's individual VAT identification number

If intra-community VAT is entered on the account and if the amount including tax is higher than EUR 150, the customer's intra-community VAT will be displayed on the PDF.

The terms and conditions of the invoice

These fields from the company name are displayed if they are entered on the invoice:

  • Flat-rate compensation (€40 for collection costs owed to the creditor in the event of late payment).

  • Discount terms (applicable in the event of payment on a date earlier than that resulting from the application of the general terms and conditions of sale).

  • VAT reference (such as the reference “VAT reverse charge” in applicable cases of intra-Community acquisitions, purchases of intra- and extra-Community services, etc.).

This field for the company name is mandatory and displayed in all cases:

  • Penalties for late payment (payable on the day after the due date stated on the invoice).

Information about your company name

These fields are only displayed if your company name is French:

  • Legal form

  • Share capital (not displayed for associations)

  • City RCS

  • RCS number

  • SIREN number

  • NAF code = APE code

  • Intra-community VAT (not displayed for associations)

You will find a complete list of mandatory fields in this article: Invoices - Mandatory information in France.

Note: To comply with French regulations, you must ensure that an invoice issued will not change after the PDF is recreated.

If the information comes from another object, such as the account or company name, the information we retrieve from the invoice PDF may have changed in the meantime. This means that a duplicate invoice could have a different customer address, contact, or other information from the company name.

To avoid this, information from other objects is stored in the invoice after it is issued.

Options to enable

Starting with Summer '21, you have new fields in the Company Name tab:

Here are more details about each option:

Payment schedule

There are two conditions that must be met in order to display the payment schedule on the invoice.

  1. The option must be enabled in the Company Name.

  2. The Payment Schedule field must be filled in on the invoice.

The second condition prevents an empty schedule from being displayed if you do not use this option systematically on all invoices.

Here is what the table looks like (it is the same on all templates):

Account Number

You have the option to display your customer's account number (AccountNumber) from the account on invoice PDFs.

Your Contact

You have two options:

  • Either display the account owner,

  • Or display the opportunity owner.

Please note: If you check both options for Company Name, the “Your contact” field will be displayed twice on all your PDFs.

Specific features of the templates

Product Code column

Template 5 has an additional column in the main table: the product code.

If you do not use the product code, this column will remain empty.

Conditional display of payment method and payment terms

For template 1, both fields are part of the bank details table.

Please note: For template 1, the payment method and payment terms fields are not displayed on the PDF if you do not display the bank details.
