How to analyze and adapt Frisbii reports

Prev Next

Linda wants to provide new reports and dashboards to the ADV team by using the Frisbii Data. She read a lot about the Salesforce reports functionality, that Frisbii uses to give an analytic view on the invoicing.

View Reports and Dashboards

Frisbii being a native Salesforce application, the users can use all the data contained in Frisbii objects in reports and dashboard, like they would with the object data of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Cloud, CPQ and many others. In order to do so, they need to have a Frisbii user licence.

Several generic reports and dashboards were created in your org when the Frisbii application was installed. They meet the needs of most users. They can serve also as an example of how to analyse Frisbii Data.

Creation of custom reports and dashboards

Based on the rights set by your Administrator, you can also create your own reports and dashboards as well as custom report types. You can create new ones or add/delete some components in the existing dashboards to include Frisbii data.

Modification of a report from our package - an example

Of course, it is possible to edit a report or a dashboard in our application. Let's follow the example of our dear Cloud Kicks team.

The ADV users would like to customize the report Issued Invoices (v3) that they discovered in the folder Frisbii Reports (v3). They ask Linda to help them to group the columns by accounting data.

Procedure

1. Go to the Reports tab.

2. Open in All Folders the folder Frisbii Reports (v3).

3. Sort the first column by Name and click on Issued Invoices (v3).

4. Click on the Edit button at the top right corner to edit the reports.

5. In the tab Outline on the left, click in the search under GROUP COLUMNS.

6. Type in the search bar: Accounting Data and select Accounting Data: Record Name.

7. Click on the Save and Run button at the top right.

Once you have applied the grouping, your data is sorted by Accounting Data.

You can also create Custom Report Types to present at users a specific set of fields when creating new reports.

To make the most of the analytical features of the Lightning Platform and Frisbii data, we recommend that you get trained with Trailhead and become familiar with the Frisbii data model, which you can find in our Frisbii Object Field Dictionaries articles.
