Preliminary Remarks

Terms and Conditions can be created in the Merchant Backend. Only one version can be active at a time. The Terms and Conditions are queried in the SSO and in the checkout.


Add General Terms and Conditions

  • Click on +Add Terms and Conditions. The editing mode opens.

  • Define Internal Title.

  • Define Terms and Conditions (Unique ID).

  • Activate/deactivate Active checkbox: Only one version of the GTC can be activated at a time.

  • Terms During Registration Process: This text appears in the SSO.

  • Terms During Purchase: This text appears in the checkout.

Note: Once the texts have been activated, they should no longer be changed.

If changes to the GTC become necessary, it is advisable to create a new version and activate it. The new version is displayed to the customer for approval when logging in.

Terms During Registration Process

The text is displayed in the registration form for new customers:

When new Terms and Conditions have been created in the Merchant Backend, all existing customers will have to approve them again when they log in:

Terms During Purchase

The Terms and Conditions are displayed everytime a customer places an order in the Checkout - also if sales rules are triggered. The text is shown in the second step of the checkout after the selection of the payment method.  

The customer automatically accepts these Terms and Conditions by clicking on Purchase.
