Preliminary Remarks
Frisbii Media's age verification verifies the age of the customer based on the date of birth including the check digit. An official identification document is required for this. The following documents can be used:
Identity card
Passport
After the actual check, Frisbii Media saves the determined date of birth in order to be able to carry out follow-up processes using Age-related rules. Frisbii Media age verification uses the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and can therefore be carried out with ID documents from a wide range of countries. The current list of ICAO member states provides an overview.
Data protection: End customer data is not stored under any circumstances. The data is only used at the moment of verification and is deleted immediately afterwards.
Selection of Frisbii Media age verification
To activate Frisbii Media age verification in the desired client, the contract module "Identity and Age Verification" must be activated. If this is the case, Frisbii Media age verification can be activated in the following way:
Open the "Settings" menu item in the desired client
Open the sub-item "Applications" and "Identity Settings"
Click the "Edit" button
Select the option "Frisbii Media age verification" from the drop-down menu

Complete and save this selection using the "Save" button
Note:
This setting can be changed individually at client level. This means that not every client has to use the same age verification. However, different providers for age verification cannot be combined within one client.
Use of age-related rules
The actual age check takes place during the checkout process. An age-related rule is necessary for implementation. These rules can be created in the menu item: Products / Sales rules / Age-Related Rules. A description of the creation and use of an age-related rule can be found here.
Check in the checkout
Once all the necessary settings have been made, individual offers can be age-checked using age-related rules. The check is automatically offered to the customer after calling up the checkout.
If the test is successful, the desired offer can be purchased. If an age is proven which does not entitle the customer to purchase, a defined alternative offer will be made.
Note: The age-related rules are decisive for the use of an age check. This sales rule is linked to desired offers and controls the use of Frisbii Media age verification in the checkout.
