Prev Next

Preliminary Remarks

In addition to the Frisbii Media age check, the"Stripe Identity" service can also be used to verify age. This service of Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") verifies the age of the customer by means of a biometric check. An official identification document is required for this. The following documents can be used:

  • Identity card

  • Passport

Selection of the check by Stripe Identity

To activate age verification in the desired client, the "Identity and Age Verification" contract module must be activated. If this is the case, the check can be activated by Stripe Identity in the following way:

  • Open the "Settings" menu item in the desired client

  • Open the sub-item "Applications" and "Identity Settings"

  • Click the "Edit" button

  • Select the "Stripe" option from the drop-down menu

  • Switch to the "Stripe" tab.

  • The information required to link an existing Stripe Identity Account is entered here. The information such as account ID, API key and webhook key must be transferred from the Stripe account.
Further information can be found here.

  • Complete and save this selection using the "Save" button

Note:

To use the Stripe Identity service, it must be purchased from Stripe, Inc. for a fee. The data required for the link to Frisbii Media differs from the data required for the link to Stripe as a payment service provider.

Use of age-related rules

The actual age check takes place during the checkout process. An age-related rule is necessary for implementation. These rules can be created in the menu item: Products / Sales rules / Age-Related Rules. A description of the creation and use of an age-related rule can be found here.

Check in the checkout

Once all the necessary settings have been made, individual offers can be age-checked using age-related rules. The check is automatically offered to the customer after calling up the checkout.

If the test is successful, the desired offer can be purchased. If an age is proven which does not entitle the customer to purchase, a defined alternative offer will be made.
