As we are constantly improving and revising our API, we regularly publish new API versions. We differentiate between API-MINOR and API-MAJOR versions.
API-MINOR
API MINOR versions contain minor improvements and bug fixes. We usually publish these on a weekly basis and the update to a new API MINOR version takes place automatically.
API-MAJOR
API-MAJOR versions contain major changes and new functions. As a rule, we publish these every 6 months.
The update to a new API-MAJOR version must be carried out manually in the Merchant Backend in the Version Management. The update to the new version must be carried out per client. It cannot be updated across clients.
Before updating to an API major version, we strongly recommend that you check all API endpoints that may have been removed or added, as this process cannot be undone! We will inform you by e-mail before the release of a MAJOR version.
All changes for both API-MINOR and API-MAJOR versions are documented in our release notes in the knowledge base as well as in the Merchant Backend in the Version Management.
