How Do I Upgrade?

Is a Rollback Possible?

No, once you upgrade to the new checkout in the Merchant Backend, downgrading is not possible. Please ensure you're ready to make the switch before proceeding with the upgrade.

What Happens If I Upgrade in the Merchant Backend?

  • Merchant Backend: Old checkout variants can no longer be maintained. All customization will need to be done through the new Checkout Editor.

  • Integration side: Nothing changes – your existing integrations continue to work seamlessly. The new checkout is displayed to end customers as soon as you have adjusted your integration. For more information see our integration guide.

Do I have to upgrade immediately?

No, but we recommend upgrading as soon as possible. The old checkout version will be supported until the end of 2025. Until then, we will continue to fix bugs, but will not implement any new functions or improvements. All future functions will only be implemented in the new checkout version.
