### Checkout Editor: Easy Creation and Adjustment of Checkout Variants

The new **Checkout Editor** revolutionizes how you manage your checkout:

- **Code-free customization** - No technical expertise required
- **Multiple checkout variants** - Create different versions for campaigns or customer segments
- **Four configurable components** for each variant:
  - **UX/UI Design**: Integrated code editor for CSS and JavaScript customizations
  - **Payment Methods**: Centralized selection, sorting, and preselection of payment options
  - **Content**: Flexible addressing (formal/informal/neutral), optional fields (titles, coupons, order references, alternative billing emails, opt-ins)

- **Automatic pre-filling of bonus delivery addresses** - Speeds up the checkout process significantly. The system recognizes existing data and offers it automatically, reducing friction for returning customers.
- **Newly structured address order** - Provides a more logical and intuitive layout when entering addresses.
- **Display of text blocks for cross-selling archived offers** - Give your customers more information as to why offers are no longer sold.

### How Do I Upgrade?

### Is a Rollback Possible?

**No, once you upgrade to the new checkout in the Merchant Backend, downgrading is not possible.** Please ensure you're ready to make the switch before proceeding with the upgrade.

### What Happens If I Upgrade in the Merchant Backend?

- **Merchant Backend**: Old checkout variants can no longer be maintained. All customization will need to be done through the new [Checkout Editor](/frisbii-media/docs/neuer-checkout).
- **Integration side**: Nothing changes – your existing integrations continue to work seamlessly. The new checkout is displayed to end customers as soon as you have adjusted your integration. ### Do I have to upgrade immediately?

No, but we recommend upgrading as soon as possible. The old checkout version will be supported until the **end** of **2025**. Until then, we will continue to fix bugs, but will not implement any new functions or improvements. All future functions will only be implemented in the new checkout version.
