Step 1: Register a Stripe account

IMPORTANT

Since October 2025, we only support Stripe Connect for new customers. You can either create your Stripe account in the Stripe interface as described below or directly within our Stripe x Frisbii Media flow in the Merchant Backend. Preliminary Remarks

To register a Stripe account, only a few details are required in the first step, such as a valid email address, name, country of use and a password.

The account can then be used in test mode. However, we recommend that you activate your account as soon as possible after registering in order to be able to use all of Stripe's services with live data.

It is advisable to use the Stripe checklist to check whether all security precautions have been taken before the Stripe account is switched to live mode.


Registration and activation of a Stripe account

Registration

Enter the following details:

  • Enter your e-mail address.

  • Enter Full Name.

  • Select Country.

  • Create Password.

Activation

After entering the data in the registration form, the created Stripe account opens and the e-mail address must be verified.

  • Open the registration e-mail in your e-mail inbox.

  • Click on the link to verify your e-mail address.

After verifying the e-mail address, the Stripe Live mode can be activated in the dashboard.

  • Click on Continue activating and follow the instructions.

Note: The activation wizard can be canceled at any time and continued at a later time. However, the account can only be switched to live mode once the activation wizard has been successfully completed and all data has been entered. The test mode already works after successful registration. 

After going through the activation wizard

  • the account is in live mode. The slider can be used to switch between test mode and live mode.

  • the dashboard can be customized as required.

  • Stripe automatically checks the data provided.

  • the account will be fully activated within a few days (when all data is complete) and can be used.

Deactivate customer emails

To prevent customers from receiving additional e-mails from Stripe, we recommend to deactivate all system mails.

  • Open Settings.

  • Click on Business in the Business settings category.

  • Click on the Customer emails tab.

  • Deactivate all system mails using the slider.
