# Step 3: Create a PayPal sandbox account

## Preliminary Remarks

To test purchases in the Frisbii Media **Stage** Checkout**,** a **sandbox account**must first be created at PayPal .

A [PayPal Business Account](/help/de-de/334-paypal/862-schritt-1-paypal-business-account-erstellen) should already have been created for this.

When registering the business account and then logging into the Developer Dashboard, two sandbox accounts were automatically created. However, further accounts can be added.

## Creation of a sandbox account

1. Go to the following URL: [https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard](https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard) and log in.
2. The slider must be in **sandbox mode**.

1. Click on the **Testing Tools** tab.
2. Click on **Sandbox Accounts**.

1. Click on **Create account** .
  1. Create a **Personal** (buyer) account.
  2. Create a **Business** (merchant) account.
2. The account can be managed using the vertical dots in the list.
  1. Click on **View/Edit account** to view the log-in data.

## Login to a sandbox account

To check whether the creation of the sandbox accounts has worked, go to the following URL: [https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/](https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/)

The log-in data of the respective account (buyer or merchant account) is required for registration, which can be viewed in the details as described above.
