# Set up PayPal via Frisbii Pay

## Overview

If you use Frisbii Pay as your payment service provider (PSP), you can offer PayPal as a payment method in your Frisbii Media checkout. To do this, you connect your PayPal Business account to Frisbii Pay and then activate PayPal in the Frisbii Media Merchant Backend.

**Note**

Subscriptions and other recurring payments with PayPal only work if vaulting is enabled on your PayPal account. Vaulting lets Frisbii Pay securely store your customers' PayPal payment method for future charges. Vaulting is not enabled by default. Contact PayPal Support to have it activated.

## Before you begin

- Frisbii Pay is set up as your PSP in Frisbii Media. If not, you can follow this guide: [Set Up Frisbii Pay](/frisbii-media/docs/frisbii-pay-1)
- You have a PayPal Business account. If not, you can follow this guide: [Step 1: Create Paypal Business Account](/frisbii-media/docs/schritt-1-paypal-business-account-erstellen)
- Vaulting is enabled on your PayPal account.
- You have access to both your Frisbii Pay account and the Frisbii Media Merchant Backend.

## Connect PayPal in Frisbii Pay

1. Log in to your Frisbii Pay account.
2. Open the menu item **Configurations → Checkout management → Payment Methods**.
3. Scroll to the PayPal section and click on **Use an existing agreement**.
4. Turn on **I authorize PayPal to make payments on behalf of my company**. This allows Frisbii Pay to process PayPal payments for you.
5. Check the **PayPal checkout flow**. The default is **SDK**.
6. Click on **Continue**. You're redirected to PayPal.
7. Sign in to PayPal and confirm the authorization.

When the connection is complete, you return to Frisbii Pay, and your PayPal agreement is enabled and configured.

## Activate PayPal in Frisbii Media

1. Log in to your Frisbii Media account.
2. Open the client's view.
3. Open the menu item **Settings → Financial → Payment Methods**.
4. Go to Frisbii Pay tab.

6. In the **Payment transactions** tab, click on **Edit**.
7. 8. Optional: Select the countries in which you want to accept PayPal. If you don't select a country, PayPal is accepted in all countries.
9. Click on **Save**.

When the setup is complete, PayPal is shown as active in the **Payment transactions** tab.
