# Change payment method and assign subscriptions

## Preliminary Remarks

In **Self Service** in the snippet [**Subscriptions**](/frisbii-media/docs/self-service-snippets#abonnements), customers can manage their payment method directly via their subscription.

## Change or add payment method

1. Open snippet **Subscriptions**.
2. Click on **Manage**.
3. Click to **Change**.

1. Select from payment methods already created or add a new payment method (the payment methods set in the Merchant Backend under [Payment Transactions](/frisbii-media/docs/zahlungsverkehr) appear here).

1. Select the subscription for which the new payment method is to be activated.

1. The customer can recognize the payment method that is currently activated for this subscription by the green tile.
