# Stripe's payment method Link

## Preliminary Remarks

Stripe offers its own payment method **Link**. More information can be found at the following link: [https://docs.stripe.com/payments/link?locale=de-DE](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/link?locale=de-DE)

Requirements to be able to offer **Link** in the Frisbii Media Checkout:

- Stripe must have been [configured](/frisbii-media/docs/stripe-connect) as a PSP in the Frisbii Media Merchant Backend.
- **Stripe payment buttons** must be activated in the Merchant Backend in the settings for [**Variants for payment methods**](/frisbii-media/docs/komponenten-konfigurieren#payment-methods) have been activated for the checkout.

## Manage Link in the Stripe backend

Activate Link in the Stripe backend:

- Open Stripe backend and log in: [https://dashboard.stripe.com/login](https://dashboard.stripe.com/login)
- Open **Settings** (gear symbol).
- Under **Product settings**, click on **Payments**.
- Open the **Payment methods** tab.
- Navigate to the payment method **Link**.
- Click on **Activate**.

## Link in the checkout process

In the checkout, **Link** is displayed as a button like all other payment methods.

- Click on **Link**.
- Click on **Link** button below. An external login window opens.

### Register user account

- Enter your **e-mail address**.
- Enter your **mobile number**.
- Click on **Continue to payment**.
- Enter credit card details and billing address. **Test payment methods** from Stripe can be used for testing here: [https://docs.stripe.com/testing](https://docs.stripe.com/testing)
- Click on **Pay**. The dialog box closes and the customer is navigated back to the checkout.
- Complete the payment in the checkout.

### Log in if already registered

- A **verification code** will be sent to the mobile phone number provided.
- Enter **verification code**.
- Either use the credit card already entered or add a new credit card.
- Click on **pay**.
