There are three levels in the Merchant Backend in relation to offers:
Products
Offers
Shopping Carts
An offer always consists of at least one product, a shopping cart in turn consists of at least one offer. A product itself cannot be sold.
A product is not created separately from the offer, such as a price sheet, but is created during the offer creation process. This means that several products can be created in an offer during creation, such as a digital product and a print product. This conceptual distinction is made because an offer can contain several products.
A shopping cart can consist of several offers. In the checkout, the customer can remove selected offers from the shopping cart depending on their settings and only buy the ones they want. However, an offer within the shopping cart must always be defined as a mandatory purchase.
