Use cases

Prev Next

Candace has been using Frisbii for several months now. She masters the recurrent tasks well, but today she has a rather specific case to deal with: Jackson Mini Jazz Danse is a large account that she has been managing for a while. This client has had a Junior Club section since the beginning of the school year. Gilbert Montaigne is its president and head coach. It would therefore be necessary for Gilbert Montaigne to be the recipient of the invoices for each "Junior Club" order.

She asks Linda if it is possible to do this as standard with Frisbii.

Use cases

Frisbii's Accounting Data object allows all billing information to be managed in a dedicated object different from the account, thus providing more flexibility and data security.

Cloud Kicks way of using this object is only one option, here are some other use cases:

  • Multi Entity : manage the subsidiaries of a parent account: each accounting data corresponds to a subsidiary.

  • Project management: depending on the projects you are carrying out with your customers, you may have other contact persons or other important information that is changed.

  • Dunning management: you can also use the accounting data to specify payment information (method, term), which is used in automated dunning processes.

  • Security: an account can be linked to an accounting data in order to set aside important data, which cannot be manipulated (object/fields with read/modify permission or not). This makes it possible to carry different information that is not necessarily accessible/modifiable.

  • A need for advanced and specific management of rights on invoicing and accounting information.

  • Management of exceptions on the same account (different invoicing address, different VAT, etc.)

Note: This list is not exhaustive. It is possible that your specific need can be handled by the accounting data. Think about it, you can customise this object by adding fields that correspond to your need. Here is more information, which will allow you to specify your implementation of this object.

Accounting Data Management

Accounting data allows for greater reliability and traceability of invoicing and accounting information but requires greater maintenance: it is a new object, which implies records to create, maintain, and link to other records. The management of accounting data must therefore be part of your company's invoicing process, and one or more users must have responsibility for it.

Relation of the object with other Frisbii/Salesforce objects

The accounting data object is an intermediate object between the corporate name, the invoice, the account and the subledger account.

  • An accounting data can be linked to several invoices:

This allows Candace to include the correct contact on the invoices for each Jacksons Mini Jazz Dance 'Junior Club' order.

  • Several accounting data are linked to one corporate name:

This link allows you to invoice the same account with two or more corporate names. For each corporate name, you can use different information for the account (billing address/ contact name/...): you need a junction object between the two, which is the accounting data.

  • An account can be linked to several accounting data:

Through this type of relation, it is possible to manage subsidiaries of a customer (account) with the accounting data. Other cases, such as different VAT or billing addresses per account, can also be managed.

  • A subledger account can be linked to several accounting data:

The subledger account allows to link the accounting data to an accounting nominal account and thus to the ledger entries.
