After creating a quotation, Candace learned how to add a product to it. Now she asks her colleague Axel Martel from the billing team to generate an invoice from her quotation. Linda helps Axel.
Which fields are included on the invoice?
Here is a list of fields that are included from the quotation to the invoice:

Invoicing from a quotation
From the quotation you can create 3 different types of invoices:
Create an invoice that represents a 100% of the quotation.
Create several invoices that represent x% of the quotation.
Generate a billing Schedule (not part of this article).
The generation of a billing schedule requires a schedule template to be set up.
Please read these articles on this subject:
Linda will first show the first two options to her colleague Axel Martel.
Preparation
If the Create Invoice and Detailed Invoice buttons are not displayed among the action buttons in the quotation record, please add them. To do so, please follow the steps described in this article: First steps in Frisbii - Adding Frisbii to your org.

Linda has already set up these buttons, so she can directly show Axel how to invoice.
How to generate an invoice (100% of the quotation)
As always, Linda shows the simplest case to her colleague first.
Steps
Go to the Quotations tab.
Select the quotation you would like to invoice.
Then click on the Create Invoice button.

Click on Confirm button in the Visualforce page that opens.
Linda will find the Invoice she has just generated, in the related list of the quotation, or in the invoice tab (thanks to the invoice number).
Beware: If you look at the related list without opening it, it may still show Invoices (0). This is a cache problem. Please refresh your browser, or open the related list.

Note: The invoice created by Linda is generated in draft mode, which allows her, if she wishes, to make changes before issuing it.
How to generate detailed invoices (x% of the quotation)
Candace has a few customers who pay for their quotations in parts. That's why she asks Axel to create partial invoices, which she sends to the customer at different times.
He has the following options:
| Initial quotation | First Invoice | Second invoice |
| 5 shorts and 3 T-shirts | a) 2 shorts and 1 T-shirt b) 5 shorts c) 50 % of the price (5 shorts and 3 T-shirts) | a) 3 shorts and 2 T-shirts b) 3 T-shirts c) 50 % of the price (5 shorts and 3 T-shirts) |
These are examples. Quantities and % can be modified on each detailed invoice.
Linda shows him how he can do this from the quotation.
Steps
Go to the Quotations tab.
Select the quotation you want to invoice.
Then click on the Detailed Invoice button.
Starting with Frisbii version 3.130, a first Visualforce page opens. Click on the Initialize information button.
On the next Detailed Invoicing page you have several options:
You can edit the information on the Invoice.
You can select the quotation Item to be included as an Invoice Line item.
You can adjust the quantity of each product.
You can change the percentage and make for example a first invoice at 50% of the initial price.

Click on the Confirm button.
Axel will charge only the shorts on the first invoice.

If he had indicated a percentage, it would have been filled in the percentage field of the invoice and on the invoice lines.
Axel is reassured, he now knows how to invoice from a quotation and he is happy to see how easy it is!
