Often Candace, Cloud Kicks' top salesperson, has to redo an opportunity for a client with slight modifications. She asks Linda how she can avoid completely recreating the opportunity to save time.

Linda, the Salesforce and Frisbii administrator, shows her two options to copy an opportunity.
Clone an opportunity
If Candace wants to create a copy of the opportunity with all the information except the opportunity products, she can follow the steps below. Upon creation, she can also make changes directly.
Let's see how she proceeds.
Steps
Go to the Opportunity tab.
Open the opportunity in question.
Click on the Clone button.

The New Opportunity window opens, with the information from the initial opportunity.

Note: The new opportunity is created, using the information from the original opportunity and taking into account your changes. As mentioned above, the opportunity products are not included.

Clone with related
Linda now shows Candace what to proceed if she wants to take clone the opportunity products as well.
Steps
Go to the Opportunity tab.
Open the opportunity in question.
Click on the Clone button.

On the Visualforce page Clone page with associated records check the Opportunity Product box and click Next.

In the New Opportunity with related records window you have the option to modify the cloned opportunity.

Then click on Save.
A copy of the opportunity (modified according to your corrections) is created, the opportunity products are included.
Candace is glad she learned how to save time in creating opportunities.
