Pausing subscriptions and delivery break for print subscriptions
The functions of pausing a subscription or setting a delivery break can be activated or deactivated here for end customers in Self Service.
Pause subscriptions
If activated, customers can pause their subscriptions in Self Service.
Note
A subscription can only be paused if the accounting period and subscription interval are the same (e.g., a 1-month accounting period and a 1-month subscription interval).
A subscription cannot be paused for more than 12 accounting periods in Self Service.
The pause configuration is checked against the subscription's billing period using a “less than or equal to” rule. The configured maximum pause duration sets the upper limit. A subscription can only be paused if its billing period falls within the configured pause limit.
Example:
If “maximum pause” = 1 month:
A subscription with an accounting period of 5 weeks cannot be paused.
If a subscription's billing period does not fall within the configured pause limits, a pause cannot be applied to that subscription.
In Self Service, customers are only offered pause periods that fall within the configured maximum range.

Delivery break for print subscriptions
If the “Delivery break” option is enabled for print subscriptions, customers with a subscription that includes print issues can pause delivery. This can be done at any time, and there is no limit on the duration of the pause.
If activated, the option appears in Self Service as follows:
