In the Frisbii Media Merchant Backend you can create issue-based or time-based subscriptions. You can market digital and analog products with both issue-based and time-based subscriptions, which differ in terms of how they are billed and at what interval they are renewed.
Billing
Issue-based subscriptions are, as the name suggests, billed according to issues. In this example, we are talking about an issue-based subscription that includes 12 issues and costs €12. Invoicing shall take place after delivery/publication of the 12th edition. Time-based subscriptions, on the other hand, are billed after a certain period of time. In this example, billing takes place after 12 months.
Subscription interval
The exemplary issue-based subscription has a subscription interval of 12 issues. This means that the subscription will be renewed after the delivery/publication of the 12th issue. The time-based subscription renews every month.
With time-based subscriptions, you therefore have the option (taking into account the fair consumer contracts) of defining the accounting period differently from the subscription interval. This is not possible with issue-based subscriptions.
