💡 New

Single Sign-On for Merchant Backend users

What it solves
Merchant Backend users previously had only one way to log in: a separate Frisbii Media password, managed outside your company's own identity systems. This meant extra credentials to maintain, no central control over access when someone joined or left the company.

What you can do now
You can now connect your company's identity provider (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID) via OpenID Connect (OIDC) and let Merchant Backend users log in with a single click using their existing work credentials — no separate Frisbii Media password required.

  • An administrator connects the identity provider once, at contract-company level.

  • New users are created automatically on first login and matched to existing accounts by email address — no manual account setup needed.

  • You choose a default user group that new SSO users are added to.

  • You can require OpenID Connect login for all accounts with the User role, while Administrator accounts always keep password login as a fallback.

🔧 Improved

Correct discounted prices shown in the Merchant Checkout

Discounted prices are now calculated and displayed correctly across the Merchant Checkout, including for bonuses, single products, subscriptions and multi-user offers. Each product's discount is applied independently, rounded correctly, and always matches the discount shown in the interface.

Validation added for issue-based offer start dates

The start-date selection for issue-based offers now validates the number of past issues a subscription can start with, based on how many issues exist per period. If only one issue exists per period, no past issue can be selected; otherwise, the maximum number of past issues is limited accordingly, preventing invalid configurations.

Clearer issue selection in the Merchant Checkout for past or future issue starts

When starting an issue-based subscription with a variable start date in the Merchant Checkout, you can now select the issue directly from a dropdown showing its title and publication date, instead of dates tied to the delivery list. This makes it clear exactly which issue the subscription starts from.

🔐 Security updates

We made some security updates so that your Merchant Backend runs even more securely.

🔧 Improved

More control when adding a payment method to subscriptions

When adding a payment method to subscriptions in the Self Service portal, subscriptions are no longer pre-selected by default — customers now actively choose which ones the payment method should apply to. If more than three subscriptions are listed, a "Select all subscriptions" option is available.

🔧 Improved

Clearer button label for free orders

When the total price in checkout is 0, the payment button is now labeled "Complete order" instead of the previous generic wording, making it clearer that no payment is required to finish the order.

Clearer "Immediate Start" option for subscription start dates

The "Today" start option for subscriptions has been renamed to "Immediate Start (upcoming issue: [title])", showing the actual title of the next upcoming issue. This issue is no longer shown separately in the list of selectable start dates, since it is now represented by the "Immediate Start" option. This only applies to time-based subscriptions with an analog delivery list.

Clearer error message for username

Customers who insert an invalid username will now get a proper error message telling them what exactly is wrong with their username.
