Preliminary Remarks

Voucher campaigns can be created and managed in the Merchant Backend in order to implement different campaigns.  

Two types of vouchers are available:

  1. Individual vouchers:
    Individual voucher codes are generated for each redemption. Each code can only be redeemed once. This option enables precise control over the number of redemptions.

  2. Campaign vouchers:
    A single voucher code is created that can be redeemed multiple times. The maximum number of redemptions is defined in the offer. This variant is particularly suitable for campaigns with a broad target group appeal.

In addition, the voucher redemption can be assigned to different platforms such as Instagram or Facebook using channels. This enables a later evaluation of the performance of the campaign on the individual channels to determine which channel achieved the best results.

These flexible design options enable the voucher campaigns to be optimally adapted to different marketing strategies.


Create voucher campaigns

To create a new voucher campaign, click on + Add Campaignin the action bar. Base data The following data is defined in the base data area:

  • Campaign name* - This name is intended for internal information. This name is not displayed to customers.

  • Start and end date - If no end date is assigned, the voucher campaign is valid indefinitely.

  • Offer* - Here the corresponding offer is selected to which the voucher campaign should refer. It is advisable to create your own offers for voucher campaigns.

  • Voucher Type - choice between individual vouchers and campaign vouchers.
    Individual vouchers are vouchers that can only be redeemed once, e.g. personalized vouchers for individual customers.
    Campaign vouchers can be redeemed several times. These are suitable for voucher campaigns in social media.

Note: Voucher campaigns and the codes they contain always refer to an offer. Voucher codes do not discount existing offers.

Channels

In the Channels section

  1. the number of voucher codes (individual vouchers)

  2. or the number of redemptions (multiple vouchers) can be defined.

This makes it possible, for example, to split a campaign across several social media channels in order to differentiate the redemptions by customers when evaluating the success of the campaign.  

Note: If several channels are created within a voucher campaign, the numbers are added together to form a total number for the voucher campaign. This total number is shown in the overview of voucher campaigns. A maximum number of 10,000,000 redemptions/voucher codes is possible per channel. When using several thousand codes, it may take some time to create the action after saving.
