Add IVW rules for print

Preliminary Remarks

The IVW Reporting feature is available as a module in the contracting company on the live system.

Print offers are recorded as copies delivered to fixed subscribers on the basis of a subscription contract. In addition to subscriptions at the regular subscription price, this can also include various special subscription forms, for example:

  • Student subscriptions

  • Individual sales

  • Free pieces

  • Other sales

  • E-Paper

Further information can be found on the website of the IVW or directly from a responsible auditor. The IVW lists are filed accordingly in the Downloads menu item. Reports can be created on a weekly or monthly basis.

Necessary components for use

IVW rules obtain data from different areas and combine this data in a reporting list. The following components must be created in the Merchant Backend in order to use an IVW rule for print offers:

Creation of an IVW rule for print

An IVW rule for print always refers to at least one defined price sheet. However, different price sheets within an IVW rule can also be used for the following:

  • the full purchase price

  • the price for other sales

After creating at least one price sheet, the IVW rule is created in the following steps:

General information

  • Assign report title and internal title.

  • Optionally add a description.

  • The "Price type" option distinguishes between

    • Time-based - reports the total turnover of the accounting periods defined in the offer.
For this purpose, the sales of all publication dates defined in the corresponding delivery list within the accounting period are added together.

    • Issue-based - reports the unit prices for the accounting period defined in the offer.
For this purpose, the publication dates defined in the associated delivery list are reported individually within the accounting period.

  • The IVW type defines and differentiates between subscriptions, student subscriptions and individual sales.

Information on the full purchase price

  • The price sheet defines the full purchase price.

  • In addition to the full reference price, percentage deviations can be defined, which define the limits of the full reference price:

    • a maximum deviation upwards

    • a maximum downward deviation

Note:

  • Separate price sheets should be created and maintained for IVW rules that are not used directly on offers.

  • Deviations from the full purchase price may result from discounts granted.

Information on other sales

  • The price sheet defines the price for sales that cannot be defined as subscriptions or individual sales.

  • Other sales only have a maximum downward deviation.

Merging all components of the offer

  • Create price sheets for use with IVW rules

  • Create delivery lists for use in offers

  • Create IVW rule

  • Add delivery list to an offer.

  • Add IVW rule to a product contract.

Note:

Several IVW rules can be used within one offer.
