Preliminary Remarks
Price sheets are a necessary building block for offers within the Merchant Backend. The price of an offer or an offer step is determined.
The following scenarios can be implemented using price sheets:
Simple linear price structures
Extensive and variable price structures across national borders
Other features:
The price sheet contains prices and validity and controls which price is charged for an offer or an offer step.
Price segments can also be linked in price sheets in order to vary the prices of offers at country level. More information on price segments >> click here.
Note: The prices in price sheets are always gross prices. Tax amounts may be deducted from these prices.
Create price sheets
Click on + Add a Price Sheet.
Enter Title*. This is used for internal allocation.
If necessary, place the price sheet in a folder structure and assign a description.
The Global price defines the general price of the offer. This must always be defined.
The price is limited to 999,999.00.The previously created price segments appear below the global price. The different price can be defined here.
Valid from defines the start of the validity of the price, not the price sheet itself. The
icon can be used to create several prices, each of which must have a different validity.
By using validity periods, price changes can also be stored for the future.Valid for existing subscriptions: Different conditions for existing subscriptions can be entered here.
Application example:
In this example, the global price was defined as €10. A price of DK 15 was defined for the Danish price segment.
This means that orders from Denmark are subject to the price of the DK 15 price segment. The global price applies to orders from all other countries.
Price changes within a price sheet
The prices within a price sheet can be adjusted by adding the new price to a price sheet. A price change affects all offers already purchased and all future offers. If a new price is defined in the Valid from field, this price change affects all future offers in the following cases:
Completely new subscriptions, i.e. newly ordered subscriptions
Change to a new step within an existing subscription
Switch to a new subscription through sales rules
For existing subscriptions, the new price is displayed in the subscription detail view as soon as a new subscription accounting period begins.
Example
The price in the price sheet will change from € 15.00 to € 17.99 from 01.01.2025.
All customers who purchase the offer from 01.01.2025 will be charged the new price of € 17.99.
Customer A already purchased the offer on 11.04.2024. The subscription has an accounting period of 1 month. The customer will receive the first invoice with the new price on 11.01.2025. As soon as the new invoice has been created, the new price is also displayed in the subscription detail view in the customer account.
