This comprehensive guide explains how to create and tailor the hosted page products.


  • Click on Configurations > Customer self-service > Hosted pages products.

  • Click on either New on top right hand corner or Create new Hosted Pages Product button, if no hosted pages products have been created yet.

The create product page provides users with various functions and options to configure and customize their hosted page product.


General Information

  • Name
    A public name for the product can be defined.

  • Handle
    This is for internal identification purposes and is not visible to customers. The handle is automatically generated, however, it can also be customized - it can be a combination of letters, numbers, and hyphens..

  • Enable product icon
    This option allows an icon to be included for the product, which will be visible on both the hosted catalog page and the hosted checkout page. A list of FontAwesome icons can be selected from. If this option is enabled, the appearance of the icon can be chosen and the desired icon entered. The icon name from FontAwesome must be entered for the chosen icon, e.g. rocket.

  • Description
    The "Description" field provides a space to describe the product. Enter a concise and informative description that highlights the key features or benefits of the product. This description will be visible on both the hosted catalog page and hosted checkout page.

  • Enable product badge
    Enabling the product badge option allows to display a visual badge or label on the product. This can be useful for indicating special offers, promotions, or other important information. This will only be visible on the hosted checkout page.

  • Enable product highlighting
    By enabling this option, visual highlighting can be applied to the product, making it stand out from others. This can help draw attention to the product on the website or platform where it is displayed. This will only be visible on the hosted checkout page.


Select Plan and Plan Configuration

  • Select a plan
    Select an already configured plan on which the hosted page product should be based on.

  • Plan configuration
    Either the default plan settings can be used, or the plan settings can be customized. The following can be defined:

    • No setup fee

    • No trial period

    • Conditional create

    • Grace duration in days
      A defined period that allows a customer to sign up with a payment method without initiating the dunning process after payment has failed.

    • Pricing
      Adjust the pricing of the product if needed.

  • Start Date
    Activate the toggle to allow customers to choose the subscription start date.

  • Add Add-ons, Additional Costs, Discounts
    These must have been created beforehand to be able to select them here.

  • Benefits
    Create a list of benefits the product comes with, e. g. access to 5000 films

Field configuration

  • Field configuration
    This option allows to configure which fields the customer should see for this product when they reach the hosted checkout.

    • Default configuration for all the fields: first name, last name, email address, phone number, company name, VAT number, address, postal code, city, country, coupon field. Select this if you prefer to stick with the standard settings provided.

    • Customize fields: It allows you to modify and tailor the settings according to your specific requirements, selecting which fields the customer should see and whether they are mandatory or not.

  • Custom field configuration

    Custom fields can be created, being either a mandatory/optional checkbox, number field or text field.


Localization

In order to offer your hosted pages products in several languages, some of the fields can be translated.

After saving your products, in the top right-hand corner, click on Translate.
