August Release - 03.08.2026

Prev Next

🚀 Here's what's new and improved in Frisbii Billing in August. These changes were released based on updates completed between July 24th – 31st, and packaged for publication on Monday, August 3rd.

🆕 New Features

✅ Schedule an absolute price change for a single subscription

Product: Billing – Growth, Scale
Platform: API

What's new
You can now schedule an absolute price change for a single subscription's plan through the Rule Engine API, effective immediately or at the next renewal. The change applies only to that one subscription — the shared plan definition and all other subscribers are unaffected.

📄 Find the detailed documentation here: Change Plan Price on a Subscription

Why it matters
This gives you a straightforward way to handle negotiated price changes, index-linked increases, or other per-customer pricing adjustments without creating a new plan or affecting anyone else on the same plan.

✅ Immediate cancellation right for EU customers within the first 14 days

Product: Billing
Platform: App & API

What's new
Customers who cancel a subscription within 14 days of the contract start date can now terminate immediately, in line with EU Directive 2023/2673 — regardless of any notice period or minimum term configured on the plan. This applies automatically across all subscriptions.

📄 Find more information in our knowledge base article: Withdrawal button according to EU Withdrawal Right

Why it matters
This keeps your subscriptions compliant with the EU's withdrawal-right rules without requiring any configuration on your part.

🔧 Enhancements

✅ Configurable DATEV BU-Schlüssel overrides per chart type

Product: Billing - Growth, Scale
Platform: Bookkeeping

What's changed
DATEV exports now support configurable BU-Schlüssel (tax key) overrides per chart type, instead of always using the hardcoded defaults. When no override is set, the existing default keys are used exactly as before.

Why it matters
If your chart of accounts (e.g. SKR04) needs different tax key handling than Frisbii's defaults, you can now adjust this yourself instead of working around incorrect keys in your DATEV export.

🐛 Bug Fixes

✅ Fixed-period discounts no longer reset when a subscription is reactivated

Product: Billing
Platform: App & API

What's fixed
Fixed-period discounts were incorrectly recalculated from the reactivation date whenever a paused subscription came back online, extending the discount window each time. The discount window is now anchored to when the discount was originally applied, and is no longer affected by holds or reactivations.

Why it matters
Discounts now expire exactly when intended, even for subscriptions that have been paused and reactivated one or more times.

✅ Company name and email now display correctly in the invoice overview

Product: Billing
Platform: App

What's fixed
Company name and customer email were sometimes missing from the invoice overview, even though this information was correctly filled in on the customer record.

Why it matters
You can now rely on the invoice overview to show complete customer details, making it easier to review and manage invoices at a glance.
