Preliminary Remarks
The Merchant Backend offers user administration for Merchant Backend users.
Users must be assigned to user groups, which is why user groups must first be created before users can be added. >> Create user groups
Add user
Click on Add user .
Determine Username* .
The Company Part* cannot be changed and is part of the username in the login screen.Enter first name* and last name*.
Optionally, the department can be specified.
Optionally, a e-mail address can be stored.
Note: The entry of an e-mail address is mandatory for the role Administrator . If no e-mail address has been stored for the role user , the administrator automatically receives an e-mail if the user has submitted a request to reset the password.
After the user has been created, the user receives a registration e-mail containing their username@company. If no e-mail address has been stored, the user must be informed otherwise.
Define Role* using the drop-down menu (user or administrator).
For the role user , the user group* must also be selected to define the distribution of rights.
Select the user's language* .
Checkbox Activate two-factor authentication determines whether the user must perform two-factor authentication when logging in.
Manage users
All created users are displayed in the list view. The view is divided into three tabs.
Active users: Users with active access to the system
Deactivated users: Users whose access has been manually revoked by deactivation.
Blocked users: Users who have been blocked due to repeated incorrect password entry.
Blocked and deactivated users can be unblocked by administrators.
Commands
Open Detail View All information about the user can be viewed. | |
Manage API Token A unique access token can be generated for the user to enable secure API access. | |
Edit Merchant User The user can be edited. ⚠️Username and company part cannot be edited. | |
Reset Password The user/administrator receives an email for resetting the password. | |
Reset Two-Factor-Authentication The user must scan the QR code and configure the 2-FA again when signing in. | |
Deactivate User If users are deactivated, they are displayed in the Disabled User tab. | |
Activate User In Disabled Users tab the user can be reactivated. |
