Cancellation in Self Service

Prev Next

The customer has the option of canceling their subscription independently in Self Service. The following provisions apply:

issue-based subscriptions:

  • The customer can only terminate the contract in due time.

  • The data displayed to the customer is based on the publication data defined in the delivery list. The customer is also shown the title of the delivery list. Depending on the cancellation period defined in the product contract (at the end of the accounting period or before the publication of each issue), the customer has the corresponding cancellation option.

  • The issue that the customer selects for cancellation is the last issue they will receive.

time-based subscriptions:

  • The customer can only terminate the contract in due time.

  • The customer can cancel either at the next possible date or, if activated in the Merchant Backend, at a specific date in the future. If this option is activated, the customer can choose from future dates in Self Service.

  • In the case of time-based subscriptions with an accounting period longer than the subscription interval, a partial cancellation may occur even in the event of regular cancellation. In this case, it is not possible to withdraw the cancellation.
