Preliminary Remarks

Bonuses are an optional component of offers and can be used specifically for sales promotion. Note that only one bonus can be assigned to each offer at a time. However, this assignment is flexible and can be adjusted or removed at any time.

A basic distinction is made between digital and analog bonuses. A bonus is considered “analog” if a corresponding analog tax type is specified and a delivery address is required during the ordering process. When an offer with an analog bonus is purchased, a separate delivery note is automatically generated overnight to support the shipping process.

Bonuses are handled transparently: They appear as a separate line item on invoices and order confirmations and are also viewable in the customer account.

Depending on the use case, bonuses can be offered either free of charge or with a co-payment.

For processing larger volumes, the system also offers the option to provide bonuses via the API. This allows for the efficient management of extensive bonus lists as well as combinations of bonuses and offers.

Create a Bonus

Bonuses can be created either in the menu item Offers or Bonus. After saving, however, the bonuses created only appear in the menu item Bonus and can only be managed there.

  1. Click on +Create bonus.

  2. Define Internal Title.

  3. Optionally, define an internal description.

  4. Enter Title*.
This title is displayed to the customer in the checkout.

  5. Add Legal advice* and optional description.
These texts are displayed to the customer in the checkout.

  6. Select Tax Type*.
If an analog tax type is selected, a separate delivery list is created after the purchase of the offer to which the bonus will later be linked.

  7. Add Access Right*.
If it is an analog product, a "dummy" access right can be selected here.

  8. Select Price Sheet*.
If the bonus is free of charge, enter a price sheet with €0.00 here.

  9. Optionally add Cost Center.

  10. Select Delivery condition*.

    • After receipt of payment

    • Immediately

  11. Select Recipient of bonus** and optionally select the delivery address and/or invoice address as mandatory.
The address query is independent of the linked offer.
Example: If a bonus with a mandatory delivery address is assigned to an offer without a mandatory delivery address, the delivery address is requested in the checkout.

    Note

If the bonus is to be shipped (physical bonus with an analog tax type), the delivery address must be requested.

After having created the bonus, it must be linked to an offer. See this article: Manage Bonuses
