🔧Enhancements

🔁 Billing

✅ Add additional Email Addresses per customer for billing or dunning

Product: Billing & Pay (Starter, Growth, Enterprise)
Platform: App

What’s changed
Merchants can now add additional dedicated Invoicing or Dunning email address directly on a customer record when creating a record, under the ‘company section’ - this is in addition to the general customer email.

Form for creating a customer with fields for billing ot dunning seperate to the general customer emai address.

Then, under ‘Customer communication’ - ‘Email templates’ go into the settings cog for each template and choose if those emails need to also be sent to the Billing or Dunning email addresses configured on the contact.

Note. This action needs to be configured in ALL the email templates that need to be sent to these email ids, even if set at the customer record level. The general email will still recieve all communications in addition to the new emails.

Why it matters
Adding additional email addresses ensure any billing-related communication is sent to the right contact without affecting other correspondence, reducing confusion and payment delays for you, particularly important in b2b scenarios or where a company is paying on behalf of your customer for goods or services.

✅ New warning message when editing customer data with existing credit notes.

Product: Billing & Pay
Platform: App

What’s changed
When editing customer data, a warning message will now appear if there are outstanding credit notes linked to that customer. The warning is only shown when credit notes already exist, to prevent inconsistencies between invoices and credit notes.

Why it matters
This safeguard prevents compliance issues and ensures accuracy when modifying customer records while open credit notes exist.

What to know:

Issuing credit notes later
You can still issue credit notes weeks or months after the original invoice. The system uses the invoice’s original customer data, so compliance is preserved.

Customer address updates
You can continue updating addresses in your webshop or self-service portal. The warning does not block changes; it’s simply a reminder to be cautious when credit notes already exist.

How to handle corrections
If addresses need to be corrected:

  1. Create the credit note against the invoice’s original data (ensuring compliance).

  2. Update the customer’s profile for future invoices.
