🚀Here’s what’s new and improved in Frisbii Billing and Pay this week. These changes were released based on updates completed during the week of Sept 15th – Sept 19th, and packaged for publication on Monday, Sept 22th.

✅ Enhanced Email Template conditions & customization

Product: Billing  (Growth, Enterprise)
Platform: App & API

What’s new:

  • Merchants can create email templates with conditional content

  • Show or hide email sections using conditions on plan handles or subscription handles or even Metadata on Customers, Plans and Subscriptions

  • New UI options support conditions such as:

    • property exists

    • property contains a value

    • property equals a value

  • The negation of these conditions is also possible, simply by flipping the toggle on ‘Negate’ e.g

    • property doesn’t exists

    • Property doesn’t contain a value

    • property doesn’t equal a value

  • Note: to see changes after editing templates, clear cache (CTRL+F5 or CMD+Shift+R).

Examples of template conditions

  • By plan handle

    • plan.handle equals 'premium' → show premium-only content

    • plan.handle contains 'trial' → show trial-specific guidance

  • By subscription handle

    • subscription.handle equals 'student-discount' → show content for student plans

    • subscription.handle does not contain 'legacy' → hide content for legacy subscriptions

Why it matters: You now have much finer control over how customers experience email communication. Templates can adapt dynamically to subscription type or dunning stage - reducing the need for duplicate templates and manual workarounds.

🧾 Added credit note validation

Product: Billing  (Starter, Growth, Enterprise)
Platform: App & API

What’s changed: Implemented a safeguard to ensure that the total sum of credit notes for an invoice cannot exceed the original invoiced amount.

Why it matters: This prevents over-crediting and ensures consistency between invoicing and credit note management, reducing accounting errors.


⏰ Specify Billing Hour added to a Fixed Billing Date

Product: Billing  (Starter, Growth, Enterprise)
Platform: App

What’s changed: When setting up plans with a fixed billing date, you can now also specify the exact billing hour.

Why it matters: This addition gives you finer control over billing execution, especially useful for coordinating with payment cycles or operational cut-off times.


🐞 Bug Fixes


🛠️ Metered Billing Products without amount_incl_vat

Product: Billing > Product Setup
Platform: API

What’s changed: Resolved an error that occurred when creating metered billing products without the amount_incl_vat property.

Why it matters: Ensures smoother product setup by making amount_incl_vat optional, improving flexibility and reducing setup interruptions.


📊 Improvements to Annual Plans in Predictive Analytics

What’s changed:

  • Enhanced how our foundational AI-model, ProbableCause, handles annual plans.

  • Improvements apply across both the Pricing Lab and Retention Lab, with clearer outputs and improved accuracy.

Why it matters:
This makes it significantly easier to work with annual plans across Predictive Analytics: charts are now easier to read, and revenue attribution is clearer and more intuitive.

What’s changing
From 1 October 2025, all emails will be sent from support@mail.frisbii.com. The previous domain support@mail.reepay.com and support@mail.billwerk.com will NO LONGER be in use.

Why it matters
To ensure you continue receiving mails sent from the Frisbii application without interruption, please ask your IT team to whitelist support@mail.frisbii.com ahead of this change.

Otherwise, emails may be blocked or fail to reach your inbox. If you experience any issues please email support@frisbii.com or raise a ticket with Frida.
