Create an invoice from scratch or from another object

Axel Martel and the Cloud Kicks billing team learn how to use Frisbii. Linda shows them how to create and issue invoices. They already know that there are several ways to generate invoices. Let's find out with them.

In these articles you will find the steps for generating an invoice from another object:

Would you like to invoice without going through a quotation or an opportunity?
Don't think twice, this is also possible in Frisbii!

Creating an invoice ex-nihilo

Linda knows that Frisbii allows to create an invoice ex-nihilo, i.e. an invoice that is not linked to a quotation or an opportunity. She shows to the team how to proceed.

Steps

1. Go to the Invoices object.
2. Click on New.

3. Fill in the information following this article: Invoices - Field dictionary.

4. Save.

Beware : The due date will be calculated based on the invoice date and the term of payment, once you created the invoice.

That's it, we've created an invoice ex-nihilo!
To go further, Linda suggests adding invoice line items and then issuing the invoice.

Adding an invoice line item

As with adding a quotation line item or a subscription line item, there are also two ways to add an invoice line item.

  • Using the New button

  • Using the Manage products button

Let's start with the first way, which gives you more flexibility to fill in information about the invoice line item, such as description, unit price and quantity. You can also add a product to the invoice line item, but this is not mandatory.

Steps

1. Go to the Invoice line items related list.

2. Click on New.

3. Fill in the information requested to add a product.

  1. Save.

If you are using products in Salesforce, it is better to use the Manage Products button to add an invoice line.
This allows you to easily take over the information already entered in the product.
