Creat the subscription from the quotation

Now that Linda has explained the theory, she shows the steps to Axel and Candace.

Steps

  1. Go to the Quotation tab.

  2. Open the quotation in question.

  3. Click on the Create Subscription button.

  4. Fill in the required fields:

    1. Start Date

    2. Invoicing Period Start Date

    3. Initial End Date

    4. Frequency

Here is the article that explains these fields: Subscriptions - Field dictionary.

Note: You have the option of dividing the subscription amount by Amount or by Quantity. If you have 4 occurrences, you can divide the subscription amount by 4 (or the quantity) and calculate the amount accordingly.

Notes:

(1) If you have one or more opportunity products that should only appear on the first invoice of the subscription, check the First invoice only box. This box is useful in the case of a one-time service, such as a gym registration fee or equipment sold at the beginning of the subscription.

(2) You can give each subscription item a Start Date and End Date different from those of the subscription.

Beware:

(1) Subscription dates must include the dates selected on the subscription items.

(2) The number of occurrences is a global number. With the dates you cannot force another number of occurrences on the subscription items to make a more detailed division.

5. Click on Create subscription.

That's it, your subscription is created:

Axel and Candace are reassured to know how it all works thanks to Linda.
