Preliminary Remarks

Once a delivery list has been created, it can be managed in different ways:

  • Delivery lists can be edited and more delivery dates can be added.

  • Availabilities can be used for delivery list entries in order to enable or limit redeliveries for these entries (e.g. print editions) (only possible with analog delivery lists!)

  • A replacement product can be added to an analog delivery list. A replacement product is required in order to carry out replacement deliveries for selected issues.

  • Delivery lists can be downloaded or published under the menu item Downloads.

  • Delivery lists that are not linked to any offer can be deleted. Active delivery lists that are linked to an offer cannot be deleted.

  • Delivery lists can be archived.

Note: In order to ensure a correct financial accounting export, delivery dates for all issues must be maintained at least two years in advance for analog delivery lists so that all active accounting periods are fully covered.

For monthly objects where long-term planning is not possible, the function for renaming and moving existing entries in delivery lists can be used. Avoid subsequent insertions or overlaps. If an issue needs to be "inserted", rename the matching existing entry and adjust the titles of the subsequent issues accordingly.


Manage delivery list

All delivery lists that have already been created are displayed in the list view. The symbols stand for digital(desktop) and analog(newspaper) delivery lists. Further actions can be carried out either directly from the list view or in the detail view via the action bar.

The following actions can be performed:

  • Archive delivery list: A delivery list can be archived. If the archived delivery list is assigned to an offer, a note is displayed in the offer detail view.

  • Edit list header: all data entered during delivery list creation under Add delivery list.

  • Edit delivery data: all data previously generated under Generate Dates.
    Each date can be edited or deleted individually via actions . 

  • Add delivery dates: additional dates can be generated.

  • Manage availability (only for analog delivery lists)
    Example: For a print magazine, only certain issues from 2023 should still be eligible for subsequent deliveries in 2024 and can be selected by Merchant Backend users.
    To this end, the availability of unwanted issues from 2023 is restricted via the corresponding delivery list.

Note: Availabilities can only be restricted for delivery list entries whose delivery date has already passed.

Add replacement product

A replacement product can be added to a delivery list. This is required if issues are to be supplied free of charge as a gesture of goodwill. A single product offer (price €0.00) must first be created.

  • Select the desired delivery list from the list and click on Details .

  • Click on Add Replacement Product in the action bar in the detailed view. A dialog box opens.

  • Select the previously created offer in the dialog box using the drop-down menu.

  • To change the replacement product, click on Add Replacement Product again and select a different offer.

Linking a delivery list to an offer

Delivery lists can be linked to the following offers during offer creation:  

  • Time-based subscriptions

  • Issue-based subscriptions (only analog delivery lists!)
