Buttons

Linda has got into the habit of looking at the buttons first. She discovers the following behavior:

Draft subscription

If the subscription is in draft, the Activate button is displayed, but they no longer see the Suspend and Renew buttons.

As a reminder, here is the link to the article on schedule generation and activation: Subscriptions - Schedule generation and activation.

Draft subscription

She clicks on the button to activate the subscription.

Subscription activated

Once the subscription is activated, it has the following options:

Now Axel is curious to discover the tabs.
They go through them together, and Axel takes notes.

Tab: Details

Axel opens the Field Dictionary article to remember all the definitions: Subscriptions - Field dictionary.

In this tab, there are no conditions for displaying fields.

Tab: Invoicing

In this tab, the two colleagues find all the amount fields, but also a new field in this release: the MRR.
Linda read in the release note that this is the Monthly Recurring Revenu of the subscription and that this cumulative summary adds up the MRR amount of all recurring and active subscription items.

For the other fields in the Billing section, it recalls an item: Subscriptions - Billing term, Day and date calculation option, Payment term.

For the payment schedule, it opens the following article for Axel: Payment schedules - Generate a payment schedule.

Tab: Life Cycle

The Life Cycle tab contains fields for subscription renewal and termination.

Tab: Indexes

At Cloud Kicks, they don't use indexes. But Linda discussed this feature with her former colleague D'Angelo: Indexes - Field dictionary and use cases.

He showed her an example:

Tab: Associated objects

In the last tab, both colleagues find the links between their record and the other objects.
Since the subscription was created by Linda from a quotation, the Quotation relationship field is filled in, as is the Quotation amount before tax.
